Having copious amounts of kids like I do, I feel we have received our fair share of tatt and gems in the gift department over the years. With the festive feeling getting stronger I thought I'd be a generous soul and share some of our favourite gifts. (Basically the stuff that lasts the charity bag cull)
OK ..OK I didnt realise how many books would make this list
This is probably our favourite. There are a few in the series, so plenty of choice. The idea behind the books is so simple, but so very creative. Children of all ages will love getting arty with this book to hand.
Oh come on seriously what kid doesn't love snot???? Enter The BOGEYMAN!!! Whoop whooop. Little kids will love the pictures, and big kids will love the story and copying the pictures!
"Dirty Bertie" by David Roberts
Yes I know! I've noticed we appear to be following a theme. Well what can I say??! my kids are grubby little tikes. This book brings fits of giggles to my 2 year old daughter, just like it did her brothers before. A good guide for life to be honest. The rhythm is easy to pick up and they will soon be reading along with you.
A cute story about a spider. Lush illustrations with glitter! Spiders aren't so scary after all!
If you want to buy a little kitchen you can't really beat ikeas play kitchen. Can be brought with or without the top dresser for smaller spaces or budgets. They also sell lovely cups, saucers, pans etc... to go with it. It has lasted our 4 children and is still going strong.
Rabbit night lights
I love, no I mean SERIOUSLY LOVE junk shops and charity shops. I swear I don't need the gym nothing makes my heart beat faster than a pending bargain!!! I brought Tillys little crib from a local junk shop for £10 and it really is amazing. We also have a lovely retro highchair and some other gorgeous bits. So this is more of a get down to your local boot sale (charity/junk shop) and buy a one off tip. Plus if you buy from charity you give TWICE! Good deed done :)
I got this one at our local car boot sale. Which my son's love and it's educational. You can buy new ones here.
Other gift ideas
Kids do some really super art. Frame it! My youngest son was completely made up with his picture on the wall.
Hopefully a few of these ideas will be of some use. (This post isn't sponsored)
